My mental health has improved 100%
The test showed I was misdiagnosed and receiving the wrong medication causing adverse reactions. Once taken off the wrong medications my mental health has improved 100%
Helpful for discussions with physician
The test and analysis showed that several medications my husband is on for his complex medical history, are either not effective or only somewhat effective. It also showed that higher doses of some medication for pain will be needed to get adequate effect. This is helpful for discussions with his physician.
My psychiatrist was very impressed
Just a comment from my psychiatrist […] She was very impressed with the personal communication with her and separate written report that I guess is lacking in other similar companies.
Easy to use, timely, good reporting,…
ACCESS TO PHARMACIST WHO WAS WELL QUALIFIED!!! She was very knowledgeable. More than my local Pharmacist.
Easy to do
…instructions very thorough. Quick turnaround
Fast response time
Straightforward testing process – swab, no blood. Mail process and fast response time.
I needed "proof" that some of my drugs were terrible for me…
at standard doses, and interacting with other drugs I was taking. The detail in the report is *perfect* for that.
It’s a life changer.
Every health care provider should offer pill check to their clients. It’s a life changer. I finally have my life back after getting off pills that were not good for me.
Rapport très complet
Rapport très complet, mon médecin n’a que de bons commentaires pour votre service.
Order was easy, as was the sample collection.
[…] Having access to a web portal and sharing my results is also very nice.
It was a good investment in my health
After years of medication issues it was a good investment in my health for future decisions in regards to appropriate medications for myself.
PILLCHECK saved my sanity
I urge everyone experiencing issues with medications to take the Pillcheck test and stop causing more harm to their bodies trying different meds, experiencing withdrawal when switching meds and still remaining in same pain.
Learned a lot!
I ordered Pillcheck back in May of 2017 because I was on a few medications at the time and had concerns about the side-effects. I looked around for a resource that would tell me how well my body received the drugs I was currently on. I was impressed by the detailed report and learned quite a bit (not being from a genetics background). I learned that I have a rare version of a gene that prevents me from metabolizing a big portion of medications. Very good to know!! I received an updated report about 6 months later which was nice. I plan on bringing this report to my sepcialist in the future should I require a change in medications.
Anti-depressant medication Pillcheck
I was curious when i heard about Pillcheck from Geneyouin. 8 years ago i was told that i might have had a side effect from a anti depressant medication. So i ordered Pillcheck Fall 2017 and went directly to that anti-depressant and it gave me a red warning. I am really impressed. The service was fast and professional.
Great product
What a great service. The testing kit was delivered quickly and it was very easy to follow the instructions. The report was available within a couple weeks.
I really appreciated the in-depth report that explains the findings and the effect that they might have. It is very comprehensive and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for this type of information.
Five stars
I’ve struggled with depression for many years and Pill Check has actually shown me that I’ve been taking the wrong anti-depressants! (Citalopram)
I’ve spoken to my doctor about alternatives and I’m now tapering off in readiness for trying a different type
I can’t tell you how valuable this discovery is, I can’t wait to try a new type of medication, thank you Pill Check!
PillCheck have definitely helped me take the right medication
At the annual healthcare team review for my mother, I was fortunate enough to meet the pharmacist attached to the care institution. When I introduced the possibility of having a drug response test done, the pharmacist’s initial reaction was defensive, and she stated that it likely wouldn’t make much difference in treatment. By the end of the meeting, the pharmacist expressed interest in at least seeing a report. She was particularly interested in whether she would be able to speak with PillCheck’s consulting pharmacist. The RN asked me to speak with the gerontologist about this, and so the next day I did. My feeling was that the gerontologist had been briefed that I’d be raising this topic, as her response was very brief, that she doubted it would affect treatment but of course we could go ahead with it.
I’m aware from what other staff at this institution said later that it is uncommon for family members to ask the types of questions I asked, and to participate in the annual review in the way I did. I had already inferred that from comments and in one case body language during the meeting. So, this might have thrown the pharmacist and gerontologist, neither of whom I had met before. I suspect that they were (are? 🙂 ) apprehensive that I might be a demanding, high-maintenance family member. I think as time goes on and they find that I’m not there to upset their apple cart, they will become a bit more open.
Made a massive impact!
It has now been a solid 18 months with my father being quite ill, throughout this journey he has undergone various tests and has seen numerous specialists along the way, they are ongoing today. The medications he has trialed and been prescribed are many with debilitating side effects at times. He was recently told that some of the symptoms were “psychosomatic” in nature because they could not attribute a cause. In recently being introduced to PillCheck, I sat down with my Dad and had a discussion about how this may help his physicians pin-point what was going on. Interestingly enough, my Dad’s PillCheck report immediately revealed three red content flags. One was for the drug Indacterol (this is prescribed for COPD). Of interest, my Dad was diagnosed with COPD (Stage 2) around the same time all of his troubles began, he has been on this medication for the last 18 months. Needless to say, we have shared the report with both the pharmacist and GP who have discontinued usage immediately. We would never have known this information had the PillCheck test not been completed.
My Dad has not made a miraculous recovery over night by any means, but this information has been critical to his treatment providers in helping to properly navigate the most appropriate course and also give my Dad the reassurance that what he was experiencing in relation was very real and not psychomatic after all.
Great for looking at other treatment options
This has helped my doctor and I plan an alternative treatment strategy for me – reassuring to know I have options, the report itself goes over my head but I think that’s to be expected if you’re a layman.
New treatment options
I suffer with a chronic condition and after taking some advice, I decided to invest in a Pill Check report. It’s opened up two new treatment options, I’ve yet to go down these avenues but it was worth taking this test to explore new ways of managing the illness i live with

Here’s what healthcare providers
say about Pillcheck
My patient had a heart attack and was discharged from the hospital on the usual medications – aspirin, betablockers, and statins plus several others. He was fatigued and depressed and literally unable to get out of bed so I had him complete the Pillcheck test which indicated he was a poor metabolizer of the betablocker. His cardiologist immediately switched him to another class of heart drug and his symptoms improved completely within a month!
Feedback on Pillcheck has been very positive and the service has helped my patients make the right decisions on their prescriptions.
As a clinical pharmacist with a background in pharmacogenomics research, I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact Pillcheck can have on patient outcomes. This innovative approach allows us to tailor medication regimens based on a patient’s genetic makeup, significantly improving efficacy and reducing adverse drug reactions.
While the business case for investing in pharmacogenetic testing remains a work in progress, employee satisfaction is a definite upside….I think it’s a technology that’s here to stay.
In our day-to-day, we see a lot of individuals try medication after medication, trying to sort through [all the products] because there are so many drugs out there. It takes a long time to get through a course of medication and if it doesn’t work, you have to pick the next one and you have to ween yourself off one and start the next. Some of them have side effects that can be very significant for individuals.
